Emily Phelps is a performer graduating with a BA in Musical Theatre from Christopher Newport University. In addition to performing in many productions at CNU including Pippin, Head Over Heels, and The Wolves, she has also been featured as a performer at Feinsteins/54 Below in Quarter Note Crisis and The New Musicals Lab Showcase. At CNU, she has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Marshall Pailet and Misha Shields in the new musicals, Loch Ness and Private Jones, Sam Rosenblatt and Elspeth Collard in Rose, and Scott Wilkinson, Eric Webb, Dale Grisa, CT Trudell, and Richard Blake in Rise with the New Musicals Lab at the Ferguson Center for the Arts.
Aside from performing, Emily is a choreographer with credits including Aladdin Jr, Newsies Jr. and Head Over Heels. She loves sharing her love of the arts with others!! When she was 14 she decided to start her own theatre company dedicated to giving children the opportunity to experience theatre and break out of their comfort zones! She ran 6 theatre camps and directed 4 shows through the company. She currently teaches tap, jazz, and musical theatre dance to children ages 6-18.
Emily thrives off of social interactions and positive vibes!! She is enthusiastic, friendly, and dedicated to her creative endeavors and love of the arts.
